A Warm Welcome to the School Year!

Dear Three Rivers Elementary Students, Families, and Guardians,

Welcome back, Chinooks!

It is with great excitement and gratitude that I welcome you to the 2026–27 school year at Three Rivers Elementary! I am Jamie Bacon, and it continues to be an incredible honor to serve as the principal of this special school and community.

As a proud Pasco High School graduate, Pasco has always been home for me. For the past 28 years, I have had the privilege of serving students and families throughout Pasco School District in a variety of roles. As I begin my fourteenth year as an administrator, I am especially grateful for the opportunity to lead the amazing students, staff, and families of Three Rivers Elementary.

Chinooks Swim Together

At Three Rivers, we believe deeply that Chinooks Swim Together. We know our greatest success comes when we work together—students, families, teachers, support staff, and our entire school community.

Our mission is to ensure that every Chinook learns, grows, creates, and perseveres while experiencing high levels of learning, belonging, and success.

As a Professional Learning Community (PLC), our teachers work collaboratively in Professional Learning Teams (PLTs) to answer an essential question:

How do we ensure that every student learns?

Through shared planning, meaningful collaboration, and the intentional use of student learning data, our teams work together to provide the support and challenge each child needs to grow.

Supporting the Whole Child

We recognize that learning is about so much more than academics. Our staff works together to support the whole child—socially, emotionally, behaviorally, and academically.

Through strong partnerships with our counselor, behavior interventionist, specialists, and families, we strive to create a school where every student feels known, valued, supported, and challenged.

We Are One

Our theme for this year is “We Are One.”

It is a reminder that while each of us brings unique strengths, perspectives, and experiences to our school community, we are strongest when we work together.

When we collaborate, encourage one another, and share responsibility for every student, we create the kind of school where all Chinooks can thrive.

Families, your partnership is an essential part of that work. Thank you for trusting us with your children and for the many ways you support their learning and growth. I look forward to strengthening our partnership throughout the year and celebrating the successes, growth, and accomplishments of our students together.

Looking Ahead to a Great Year

The 2026–27 school year holds so many possibilities. There will be challenges to navigate, new things to discover, goals to accomplish, and countless moments to celebrate. Through it all, we will continue to learn, grow, create, and persevere—together.

I am incredibly proud to be a Chinook and excited for another year with this remarkable community.

Please know that my door is always open. I welcome your questions, ideas, celebrations, and partnership as we work together to make Three Rivers Elementary the very best place for our students to learn and grow.
